Every Prep student is partnered with a Year 6 student and the growth, in each child’s friendship skills, sense of belonging and communication, is outstanding as they spend time sharing and learning from one another.
Buddies participate in fun activities such as reading and writing together, learning information technology skills, doing art activities and science experiments.
Teacher Buddies is also a valued program. All Year 6 students are paired with a member of staff who provides mentorship and guidance. Special times are shared at regular morning teas, birthdays, sacraments and graduation as well as other events throughout the year. This ensures the Year 6 students have a ‘go to’ person whom they can trust.
