The Sacraments are an integral part of our Catholic tradition and at St Francis Xavier the teaching of the Sacraments forms part of the Religious Education Program.
Our Sacramental Program for baptised Catholic students consists of:
- First Reconciliation – Year 4
- First Communion – Year 4
- Confirmation – Year 6
We recognise the strength and importance of partnership between school, family and community and so our sacraments are celebrated with students from the other school within our parish, St Augustine’s, and also the parish children from non-Catholic schools. Families are invited to participate in the Sacramental Program through home/school activities and invitations are extended to attend Commitment Masses and Sacramental Evenings.
At school, preparation is led by the teachers in conjunction with the Parish Priest who also facilitates Sacramental Workshops.
